Why I started this
Free iPhone appsmofreeapps.com“I kept seeing the same simple questions come up over and over.”
I spend a lot of time on Reddit. That's where I learn most of my tools, because the subreddits are full of real people using them, giving feedback and trading tips. After a while I kept seeing the same simple questions come up over and over. People wanted to know how to do something basic, or they didn't know a feature existed at all. I like helping people. I'm an empath that way. So I started writing the answers down, and that's what this blog is. It's the same reason I make free iPhone apps and give them away at mofreeapps.com.
How I use AI
I use it for everything. It helps me budget and keeps me productive. I pair program with it and write code with it. I use it to clean up my emails and texts so the grammar's right and the point actually lands. I've built websites with it, for myself and for my friends. At this point AI is entrenched in my day.

Who it's for
Anyone. These days I'd call myself an expert with tools like Claude Code and Codex, but I was a newbie once. I made mistakes, and I didn't know how any of it worked. I still learn something new about these tools every day. So if you're trying to get more out of AI, whether you're brand new or already using it like I do, this is for you.

- Since 2009Software engineer
- NowEngineering manager
I wrote my first code in high school, building HTML web pages. In college I played football at the University of Arkansas. Back then I wanted to be an orthopedic surgeon, but I changed my major to computer information systems and became an engineer. I've been a software engineer since 2009, and I'm an engineering manager now. I'm a dad, I live in Texas, and I have ADHD. When I have the time, I write fiction. It's how I get away from the daily grind and get creative in a different way.
